Add your desired Gmail address, and click on <strong>Next<\/strong>. For ease of use, we will use the email address <a href=\"mailto:admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com\">admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/204_Enter-the-email-address.png\" alt=\"Enter the email address\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Gmailify:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">When you click next, the system will ask you if you wish to connect your accounts to <strong>Gmailify<\/strong>, OR <strong>import emails from my other account (POP3)<\/strong>? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/205_import-emails.png\" alt=\"import emails\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">The availability of Gmailify depends on your hosting provider. In general cases, this option will be disabled. Hence, you must select the option <strong>import emails from my other account (POP3)<\/strong> and press <strong>Next.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Please enter more details about your email account on the next page. Please head back to the Blue Box Tab showing <strong>secure SSL\/TLS settings.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Enter the<strong> Incoming (POP3) mail settings <\/strong>for <a href=\"mailto:admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com\"><strong>admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/206_Enter-the-mail-setting.png\" alt=\"Enter the mail setting\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Incoming Server details:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Username: <a href=\"mailto:admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com\">admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Password: The one you created for this email address<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Incoming Server: Your website URL &#8211; dev.hostitsmart.com<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Incoming Port numbers: IMAP &#8211; 993 and POP3 &#8211; 995<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Once you complete entering the details you will see an interface as shown in the following image.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/207_interface.png\" alt=\"interface\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Tick the boxes next to the options.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">A bit about the options.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Leave a copy of the retrieved message on the server<\/strong> &#8211; Tick this option to leave a copy of your retrieved email. This is like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/knowledgebase\/229\/How-to-Take-Backup-of-Emails-from-cPanel.html\">backup for your email<\/a> in case you accidentally delete an email.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail<\/strong> &#8211; Ensure to select this option.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Label incoming messages<\/strong> &#8211; Select a label. That label will appear before every retrieved email.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Archive incoming messages (Skip the Inbox)<\/strong> &#8211; We don\u2019t recommend selecting this option. If all your information is correct, your yellow popup will show as <strong>Your mail account has been added<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Now the system will ask you, <strong>Would you also like to be able to send mail as hello@mycompany.com?<\/strong> Select the radio button &#8211; <strong>Yes, I want to be able to send mail as <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com\">admin@demosite.hostitsmart.com<\/a> and click <strong>Next<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/209_click-Next.png\" alt=\"click Next\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Please type the name on the next page. All emails sent via Gmail using this address will display this name. You have 2 options at your disposal. The email would carry a code and a link.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">You can either click the link OR copy the code and paste it into the yellow window.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Doing either of these is enough to verify the email address. Once verified, connecting your cPanel email account to your Gmail account is complete.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">You may want to do some test email transactions to confirm that your emails go through and are received smoothly. There are all the chances that Gmail identifies the email sent from your cPanel as spam. Once you mark such emails as <strong>Not Spam<\/strong>, Gmail will start organizing them in your inbox. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Verifying &amp; Authenticating your Email Address<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">This step is not a mandatory part of the process, but we recommend it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">The recipient will see a warning when you send an email using your cPanel email address. This warning will state that the received email is not validated. Such emails show a Question Mark before the sender\u2019s email address.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">If the email recipient hovers over the question mark icon, he will see the following error:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Error message:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Gmail could not verify that {INSERT DOMAIN NAME} actually sent this message (and not a spammer).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>What is the logic behind this error message?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">This error message is one way to suggest that the received email might be spam or a phishing attempt. You may also see such a message in emails received from genuine senders. The issue of missing SPF records surfaces because the SPF record has not been set to permit the server to send emails on your domain\u2019s behalf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Yes, it is possible to resolve this error.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Go to your cPanel Email Account, search for the Authentication button under Email (settings) and click on it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/212_Authentication.png\" alt=\"Authentication \"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This will direct you to the <\/span><strong>Authentication page<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You have 2 ways to verify the email address; use DKIM or SPF. Google, in this case, recommends using DKIM. Click the <\/span><strong>Enable<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button underneath the DKIM. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostitsmart.com\/manage\/images\/kb\/213_Enable.png\" alt=\"Enable \"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">A few warning messages would flash before you, stating that Google could not validate your domain. These messages are not a matter of concern as they go away a few hours later, and your email gets validated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Once your email is validated, your goal is achieved.
