It is a successor to SSL 3.0 and was first&nbsp; released in 1999 by the Internet Engineering Task Force. TSL v1.1 was released in 2008; it added protection against CBC (Cipher Block chaining) attacks. TSL v1.0 and TLS v1.1 were deprecated by Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Mozilla in 2020.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TLS v1.2 was rolled out in 2008. It included some additional features. The latest version of TLS was released in August 2018.
