Too many FTP connections at one time can result in connection issues. To prevent this, FileZilla allows users to limit the number of simultaneous FTP connections. To do this:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Open FileZilla.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click the File<\/strong> menu.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Select Site Manager<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Select your FTP site from the Select Entry<\/em> menu.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Click the Transfer Settings<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Select the box for Limit number of simultaneous connections<\/strong> and set the maximum number of connections.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are hosted on a shared server and trying to transfer many files, the server firewall may block your IP address due to excessive number of simultaneous connections from one and the same address.<\/span><\/p>\n

    There is an easy way to reduce the number of simultaneous connections and transfers in FileZilla.<\/span><\/p>\n

    To reduce the number of simultaneous transfers, open the application -> Edit -> Settings -> Transfers<\/strong>. There you will see a field called Maximum simultaneous transfers<\/strong> – change the value to 1<\/strong> and click on OK<\/strong> to save the changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    By default FileZilla is configured to transfer 5+ files at a time, which means that each time when you make a transfer, the application will initiate 5+ simultaneous connections to the server.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
